[ubuntu] Font viewer in 8.10

Anyone knows what happened to gnome-font-viewer in ubuntu 8.10? When I double click on a font file in nautilus it says it doesn't have an associated application. Is there some other application that I must install?

Yeah, I am having the same problem. How do we view fonts now in 8.10? Thank you for the help.

There are two options that I know of:

Menu -> Applications -> Accessories -> Character Map works like the windows one.

Alternatively, (my preference) you can install gnome-specimen
Code:
sudo apt-get install gnome-specimen
will graphically show fonts.
